About Us

The Galveston Country Club is proud to have a Ladies' Golf Association (LGA) that has a history going back to 1905. Today, we continue the purpose that was established of promoting and conserving, among women golders of Galveston Country Club, the best interest, and true spirit of the game of golf, embodied in its ancient and honorable traditions. We invite you as a Stock or Social member to join our assoiciation, and welcome ladies of all skill levels. 

The official play day is Thursday at 9:00 AM and on Saturday at 10:10 AM. In January, we post the schedule for the year, which includes the format for each play day as well as special tournaments such as the Members' Memorial Low Net Tournament inaugurated in 1978 and honors these ladies who are no longer with us. Following golf, we have lunch at the clubhouse,announce play day winner's, and enjoy each other's company. 

The LGA is also a member of the Gulf Coast Interclub, and we plat on various courses in the area. This occurs monthly from February through October. Two-person teams play a Best-Ball format on the fourth Thursday of each month, building up to a two-day October Championship where Gross and Net are awarded.

Annual dues are $75 per year, with an optional $5 Hole-In-One Club fee.
